I came up through field engineering and moved through four Verizon roles over 13 years. That progression lets me connect engineering reality with executive decisions on reliability, cost, risk and delivery. I have led cloud migration, application modernization, monitoring, ITSM governance, security governance and FinOps under one operating roadmap.

What I lead

Five areas where I bring both operating depth and leadership accountability.

Infrastructure & cloud operations

Hybrid and multi-cloud operations across AWS and GCP, data centers and VMware. Modernized VMware across 1,000+ hosts with zero facility-level outages.

Reliability, observability & incident response

Grafana, Elasticsearch, alerting, anomaly detection, tracing, P1–P3 response and executive escalation leadership across enterprise workloads.

Service delivery & ITSM

ServiceNow ITSM, CMDB and ITOM Service Mapping; incident, problem, change and release management; disaster recovery and business continuity.

Vendor governance, budget & FinOps

Five vendors on a $5M portfolio, executive business reviews, contract risk scoring, multi-cloud FinOps and multi-million-dollar infrastructure budgets.

Technology modernization & team leadership

Cloud migration, microservices modernization, IaC, CI/CD, Scrum/Kanban and executive KPI dashboards—while developing leaders and promoting six engineers across three management roles.

Selected transformations

Three examples of modernization delivered without losing operational control.

Cloud migration · Associate Director | Verizon | 2024–2026

110+ workloads to multi-region AWS

Scope. Mission-critical conversational AI and backend workloads handling millions of real-time transactions.

Leadership. Directed migration using Lambda, EC2, EKS, Bedrock, SQS and RDS, with blue-green deployments and active-active failover.

Result. 99.99% availability across production and staging while modernizing monolithic IVR systems toward microservices.

Service management · Senior Technical Staff | Verizon | 2013–2019

ServiceNow visibility across 100+ services

Scope. Enterprise ITSM, CMDB and ITOM Service Mapping from applications through infrastructure.

Leadership. Led the implementation and mapped 100+ business services for incident impact analysis and service governance.

Result. Created the service-mapping foundation later reinforced by Grafana/Elasticsearch monitoring and application tracing.

Infrastructure modernization · Senior Manager | Verizon | 2020–2024

VMware modernization across 1,000+ hosts

Scope. Sacramento, Twinsburg and Tampa data-center environments.

Leadership. Modernized virtualization and consolidated the physical footprint while restructuring infrastructure investment.

Result. Completed the work with zero facility-level outages.

Governance & resilience

Operating discipline for environments where outages, audit gaps and uncontrolled change are expensive.

SOC Type I & Type II

Led annual SOC Type I and Type II audits from 2022–2025 across 110+ workloads and 2,000+ users, working directly with executive sponsors, compliance leaders and auditors.

Security, patching & vulnerability governance

Owned controls for access, patching, logging, backups, DR testing, change management and incident response. Team-managed vulnerability reviews and remediation across on-premises and cloud environments.

Disaster recovery & business continuity

Built DR and BCP practices from runbooks and regular testing, cutting recovery time 40% and bringing mission-critical services to 99.9% availability.

Executive visibility

Replaced spreadsheet reporting with executive dashboards for KPIs, SLA performance and operational risk, reducing monthly report preparation time 63%.
